Namibia 2013

These are photos from Namibia, which turned out to be my favourite time on the trip! It was so empty of people though! We were driving along on the main paved road, no cars around, no buildings or people, and suddenly Paul says, "Oh I think we need to turn right here." This is the road we turned down! lol! This is basically what Namibia driving was like. You could drive the entire day and not see a soul. Our campsite in Ai Ais, near the Fish River Canyon Me and Paul and Fish River Canyon These are some photos from the Quiver Tree Forest! The trees were pretty cool. We went for a walk in the forest, and suddenly hundreds of weird little animals jumped around. Turns out they are called Rock Dassies. Driving around Namibia These are photos of our campsite in Spitzkoppe! It was phenomenal! Entering Etosha! This is where we got a flat tire! Lovely view :) Lions nearby... South Africa 2013

It's been a million years since I last posted here! Dad and Pat this is for you :) If I can remember how to do it!

Okay, couldn't figure out how to make captions, but here's what was happening above: 1) On our fist day in Cape Town, wandering around, with a view of Table Mountain in the background 2) This was at the waterfront in Cape Town, where we were waiting for the boat to Robben Island 3) This is me on Robben Island! Cool tour, our tour guide was a former inmate! 4) This is a view of Cape Town taken from Table Mountain 5) Camps Bay, where the rich and famous of Cape Town live :) 6) We had dinner in Camps Bay with my friend Kim, who I met in Korea 7) On the wine tour! 8) Views of Stellenbosch area, which was stunning 9) At a winery that was obsessed with goats, and we all thought it was funny 10) More views of Stellenbosch 11) Me and a giraffe! My favourite animals :) 12) We saw this lion on our last day in Kruger! First time on the trip we saw a lion in the day time. 13) The view from our hostel in the Drakensburg mountains (bordering Lesotho) 14) This was the hut we stayed in there. 15) We had lunch at a really nice cafe, and we sat outside to look at the mountains! 16) Our beloved truck and rooftop tent! 17) This was our last night camping in the tent, before spending the rest of our trip in nice hotels haha 18, 19) Elephants on the road! Scary times. 20) Paul did the world's highest bridge bungee jump! 21) View from our hotel balcony in Mossel Bay, along the south coast of South Africa 22) We saw penguins at Boulder's beach 23) Another hotel on the water, this time in Simon's Town, on the Cape.

Haeundae Beach ~ Busan

Catherine, Kirsty, Kay and I headed down south to Busan for a relaxing weekend at the beach... It felt like a real vacation!
Met a few interesting people at the beach and out on the town! Overall a great two days :)

I finally got around to going through the HUNDREDS of pictures from Japan (and I still don't have all of them yet!) to make this slide show. I"m sure you'll only watch it if you're really bored and have roughly 6 minutes to spare. The pictures are from all around Japan. There's too much to explain here, but I'm sure I'll tell you all about it when I get home!

pps - I look awful in all of the pictures... kinda like a vampire, but not a pretty shiny vampire, more like an anemic, grungy one... perhaps this is also why I didn't put the pictures up sooner :)
